One of the most frequent commands in the bible is ‘Do not fear’. It is a command that should be obeyed not a suggestion. Yet every believer I know of struggles with fear. Fear is a feeling which is brought about by perceived danger, evil, pain or threat. This can cause change in metabolic rate, functions of organs or change in behavior such as hiding, fleeing or freezing.
Some fear we face in life may include: fear of public speaking, fear of insects, fear of people, fear of strangers, fear of losing, fear of failure, fear of loss, fear of change, fear of heights, fear of being alone, fear of death, fear of witchdoctors, fear of exams, fear of sickness. The list is endless and personal.
